Founder and CEO of E-Settlement Limited, Olaoluwa Awojoodu has explained how ESL is providing employment opportunities for people through the company’s agency banking platform known as “Paycenter” and what they will use to create over 10,000 jobs for people before the end of the year.

Awojoodu said that they are using the platform to create jobs for people that and getting them out of poverty, adding that people are now sending their children to school, pay house rents and all sorts.

“As I’m sitting here, we have created jobs for over 40 in our office here, and the truth here is that we have created jobs for over 3,000 people in different places that we don’t even know at all, who are our agents”

Awojoodu was confident that by the end of the year, ESL would have created jobs for over 10,000 people through agents’ network.

He pointed that the role agency banking plays is critical, as it does not only include people in financial space but also providing jobs for them.

He further explained that agency banking is the last man banking. The super-agent licence we are working on does not make them a bank, neither it is a commercial bank.

Agency banking platform is an agent led low-cost and effective vehicle to include a largely unbanked and underbanked rural population into the banking ecosystem.
