Noah Raford is one of the brilliant minds appointed by the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Noah is the Futurist-in-Chief and Chief of Global Affairs for the Dubai Future Foundation. He is responsible for identifying emerging opportunities, strategic partnerships, and future initiatives for the Government of Dubai, as well as leading the Foundation’s thought leadership and partnerships activities.
He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai Future Foundation and Acting Executive Director of the Museum of the Future.
He has also an adviser on futures, foresight, and innovation in the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, a senior strategy consultant at Monitor / GBN, CEO and co-founder of the technology foresight company Futurescaper, North American Director of Space Syntax Limited, and the Senior Research Advisor to Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment.
Noah was born in Charlottesville, United States and earned a Bachelor in Sociospatial Analysis and Design at Brown University in 2000. He completed his Masters in Advanced Architectural Analysis from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London (UCL) in 2004.
Some the projects he has recently handled include the Museum of the Future, the Dubai Global Blockchain Council, the Dubai Future Accelerators and the “Office of the Future”.
Others are the world’s first fully functional 3D printed building, the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy, the Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy, the Dubai Future Academy, the UAE Drones for Good Award and the UAE Robotics for Good Award.
Noah completed his PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), his masters at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and his undergraduate degree at Brown University.
He has served as a member World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, a Senior Research Fellow at the London School of Economics, a fellow at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and as a member of the International Futures Forum.
