MD/CEO, Karotiz, Carol Arheghan has urged business owners to always find the best ways of innovating their products and services to meet clients’ expectations and needs to encourage more patronage for business growth.
Carol said to participants at the February Edition of Accelerate Business Growth workshop that business innovation is a major option that must be considered to keep business afloat.
She pointed that lack of business information and innovation are the major reasons why most business owners are grounded, and not the lack of money.
The business coach further revealed that redefining her business, Karotiz – a fashion and uniform making company during the first lockdown was what kept her company floating up till now.
“The pandemic affected both social and work life that our clients couldn’t patronise us. Because of the nature of the business, the situation was challenging for the business. That was when we sorted new and innovative ways to suit the specific needs to innovate during the first Covid-19 lockdown,
The pandemic took a huge toll on many business enterprises, restricting their movements, and events to facilitate social distancing thus affecting the buying behavior of clients and organizations. It was difficult to get the same volume of jobs as we used to, when most people were working from home”, Carol explained.
Carol disclosed that she turned her attention to the needs of the family, that came as a result of the lockdown.
“Families would always want to celebrate occasions. I took full advantage of this opportunity and started making customized shirts for their occasions; this was how Karotiz was able to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on the business”
As a woman that has always been driven by her dreams, Carol urged business owners to have the right reasons for running their business, and that is what would keep your business afloat and grow even amidst the challenges, adding that entrepreneurs at any level must dare to dream and never give up on their dreams.
Recounting how she started, she revealed that her business started from the streets, without a sowing machine to her name.
“I would outsource to get work done but now I have my own factory with growing clients and staffs that work at different departments of the company”
She further emphasized the reason entrepreneurs should affect their world.
“Your business should solve a problem; it’s not just for your survival. People would be alive because you exist”, she said.
Carol asserted that the Accelerate Business Growth workshop was organised to positively impact growing entrepreneurs and broadening their minds to what they can become with their business and guiding them to achieve their business goals.
