E-Settlement Limited, owner of PayCentre Africa, CashEnvoy, and PayPad has engaged the service of Digital Jewels, an information value chain consulting firm with deep competencies in information security, information assurance, project management, e-business, and knowledge capacity development to run full penetration tests on its servers to boost consumers’ confidence and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding their data against privacy breaches and cybercrime.
MD/CEO, E-Settlement, Olaoluwa Awojoodu said that the results of the test confirmed that the servers and database are secure and safe after a thorough examination was carried out by the independent information technology company.
“We didn’t stop there, we also carry out regular security code training for our engineers, none-code staff and also engage our agents and customers on safe data protection practices by periodically informing them of the dangers of sharing sensitive details with other people or posting them online,
We have always protected our database and adhered to the standards set by the Consumer and Data Protection Regulation Guidelines and assure our customers and stakeholders of our strong data protection policy”, Awojoodu said.
He further explained that it is imperative that organizations protect consumers’ data and avoid instances of misuse, as well as educating them on the best practices in an increasingly digital economy where technology is being used to solve the needs of the non-digital savvy people as E-SL does.
The Group has been at the forefront of innovative, easy-to-use, affordable, secure, and inclusive payment solutions for Africa and the world beyond for years.
Speaking on the move, E-Settlement‘s CEO, Olaoluwa Awojoodu said, “E-Settlement Limited does not store, see or process card information, so there is no way unmasked card data that can be used to commit cybercrimes could have been found on any of our servers.
