Juliet, who described the journey with Google so far as an amazing 10 years, narrated how her work has been a source of positive impact on people’s lives across Africa.
“The most exciting part of my work has been seeing the impact of our offerings on people’s lives across Africa. I am also proud of the work that we have done in helping to create a vibrant and viable digital ecosystem. She said.
While speaking on her team achievements during these 10 years, Juliet said her team at Google has trained over 5M people through the Digital Skills program, trained thousands of developers, and created customized products and programs that reflect the unique needs and culture of African users.
“On YouTube, we have democratised content development and distribution, helping thousands of African creators to increase their reach and monetise their content.” She added.
“The ‘Google for Startups’ program has provided mentoring and support to hundreds of tech startups in Africa, with an impressive alumni list that includes trend-setting firms like Flutterwave, Paystack, Kuda, and others.”
“Our Google Impact Challenge and Economic recovery initiatives have provided millions of dollars in grants to SMBs and social enterprises across the continent,” Juliet noted.

Meanwhile, Juliet commended her team who she regarded as amazing colleagues at Google for their contributions to building for the next billion users and showing the transformational impact of technology.
