Chief Executive Officer, AFEN Group, Deborah Ojengbede has led the company to raise over a million dollars in its quickest public sales in the crypto space.

AFEN Group is a leading hub for African blockchain-related collaborations with a focus on decentralized finance, arts, real estate, and education and has the objective of combining blockchain’s immutable data structure, and the backing of government bodies to provide legitimacy to products.

Before joining AFEN Group, Deborah was a Business Analyst at Union Bank where she had been for five years implementing strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analysing data requirements; deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to EXCOs and stakeholders, and review current processes to improve data accuracy and business efficiency.

The 27 years old ex-banker that is also known as ‘Debbiestixx’ was born in Osun State, Nigeria, where she started playing drums in church at age 10 and professionally in the year 2013 as the official drummer of Gospel Rapper- Bouqui.

Deborah obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Babcock University where she was heavily involved with the school choir and was also the official drummer for a megachurch; RCCG, Potter’s Place Parish in 2011/12.

She considers drumming as her passion and a lifestyle. Her dedication and passion have made her a popular demand and have made her stand out among her peers.

She is currently Drummer of Rudeboy (P-square) all-female band and has also played for several prominent artists and bands in Nigeria, that include Frank Edwards, Niyola, and GFactor band.

Deborah is also a Business Analyst at a multinational bank in Nigeria- this why she’s called the “Banker by Day, Drummer by Night”

In an industry dominated by male, Deborah has proven that she is a force to reckon with.

In her words, she said she’s a result-oriented individual who develops a responsible approach to any task that she undertakes.
