Speaking on her journey to real estate, she said it all started after her youth service where she had worked with a real estate firm on the island. Upon her resignation from the company, she joined Country Hill as head of customer care service but got promoted as head of operations. Afterward, Chika felt the need to venture into sales for her career growth in the real estate industry which turn out well for her.

Recounting how she made her first sales in real estate, she said, ‘My first real estate sale was more like a challenge because most of the time my boss would motivate and put me through. I got encouraged and spoke to a couple of friends and in no time they bought the property from me. I was super excited because I wasn’t expecting a fast result and ever since, have been closing deals for the company.

Real estate sector is a viable and lucrative business for stakeholders because it works around fixed assets that appreciate over time. For instance, you buy land for a price today, and 2-3 years later you get double your money with zero stress or hard labour which I would advise people to invest in real estate.

When asked if people should invest in real estate with the fact that return on investment is not immediate, she said “I would still advise people to invest because despite the fact that it is not immediate, you still get more than a 100% on returns on investment when you decide to sell or invest in that property and you don’t have to wait that long compared to other sectors.

Commenting on the ongoing offers at Country Hill, Chika said the company is currently offering investors the opportunity to invest in their hotel project which will be taking off in some months’ time.

“We are building a beautiful state-of-the-heart hotel in the city of Lagos and it going to be a home away from home where investors get to own one of the hotel rooms and earn for the next 10 years with over 200% return on their investment. We also have lands that you can buy, build and get your returns on the investment.

‘‘We also have land properties at prime places in Nigeria that people can invest in like that of Ibeju-Lekki and Epe. The new international airport is going to be at Epe and important businesses and companies like Dangote refinery, the Lagos business school, the Pan Atlantic University, are all situated there.

‘‘They are so many opportunities coming to that area and buying land there is a viable because there are so many benefits attached to it. Investors can also look into short let apartments and apartments for rent where they can earn yearly”, she added.
