The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat has been slated to speak at the Junior Chambers International Global Digital Economy Summit – the largest gathering of techy youths, digital experts, and digital economy enthusiasts.

The second edition of the annual summit focuses on the theme: ‘Defining Our Pillar Success’, theme centered on Nigerian economy in achieving the United Nation’s sustainable development goals – 8 and 12 – Decent work and economy growth; responsible consumption and production through global economic digitalization.
JCI National President, Olawale Bakare said the summit is a convergence of digital economy enthusiasts, targeted at creating a platform that will facilitate connection and collaboration towards building a more inclusive digital economy for Nigeria as a nation, Africa as a continent and the world at large.
He further mentioned that the Summit is a strong collaboration with youths and tech institutions powered by JCI Nigeria as a convergence of digital economy enthusiasts, targeted at creating a platform that will facilitate connection and collaboration towards building a more inclusive digital economy for Nigeria as a nation, Africa as a continent and the world at large.
“The anticipating summit will also include the Creative Youth Entrepreneurs Award ceremony where ten winners shall be announced as outstanding creatives and business owners in recognition to their contribution to Nigeria’s economic growth”, he said.

The event slated for Saturday, 11th June, 2022 at D’Podium, Ikeja, Lagos is expected to be attended with over 1,000 JCI members across the country.
Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Science and Technology, Hakeem Popoola; Director General, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullai; Country Manager, Microsoft Nigeria and Ghana, Ola Williams and Honorable Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Youths and Social Development, Dawodu Olusegun are other speakers that will be speaking at the summit.
